SCRAPBOOK INDEX – OSAGE COUNTY NEWS ITEMS

Our society holdings include about thirty scrapbooks of newspaper clippings that have been compiled by several donors.  The time span covers much of the early to middle years of the twentieth century.  Most of the names appear to come from the eastern half of Osage County.  The news items are generally of significant life events such as births, deaths, military service, marriages, family reunions, etc

The index of these items is an every-name index.  Occasionally, we find photos.  These scrapbooks were dependent upon the discretion or interests of the compilers.

The fee for each news item/photo copied is $3.00 which includes research time, copying or scanning and postage.  Please include the name, book number, and page number(s).  Requests can be made by phone, 785-828-3477 (leave message), 785-220-3839 or 620-340-2347; postal mail, OCHS, PO Box 361, Lyndon KS 66451; or e-mail, osagechs@gmail.com.  Payment may be made by check, money order.  Upon receipt of payment, requested items will be sent in a packet or by e-mail.
